Event Description

Give yourself a day to still the mind through meditation. This silent retreat is non-intensive: the simple and relaxed schedule allows you to settle your mind and maintain a constant awareness of your every activity. The day will consist of thirty minute periods of sittings interspersed with guided gentle yoga and walking meditations. The retreat also offers a review of basic meditation methods (such as awareness of the breath) and brief Dharma talks.

Many people find that attending these one-day retreats regularly can help renew the strength of their daily practice.

This retreat has an optional activity afterwards: supper and tea followed by discussion about the practice. You’re welcome to stay and ask questions about Buddhist teaching and application in daily life, questions that you may have no opportunity to ask during retreat. The teacher will facilitate the discussion.

(The supper/tea time is optional, please note if you would like this meal on your application and add 1 extra night after in Section 2:Event Fee of your registration.)
